Abstract: Use of grain for seeds and fodder in the expenditure part of the grain balance is almost 75‰. Among the priorities of the author considers as accelerated the use in the production of new varieties and hybrids of grain crops, radical improvement of seed production. The author notes that the actual production of seeds and not emitted to the specialized industry to meet the requirements of intensive grain farming, even there was a return to the principle of self-sufficiency farms with seeds. Improving the efficiency of grain farming is offered by accelerating the use in the production of seed of new varieties and hybrids of grain crops, radical improvement of seed production.
