The Research-and-production magazine "Economics of Agriculture of Russia" is founded by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. It is issued monthly and published since January, 1994. It is registered by the Ministry of the Russian Federation of the press, broadcasting and mass media on the 20^th, December, 1999. Its registration number is 77-1339.

The international standard number of the magazine given by ISSN International Centre is ISSN 2070-0288

This edition is dedicated to the realization of an agrarian policy, to the State program "The development of an agriculture and regulation of the markets of agricultural goods, raw material and the foodstuffs years 2008 2012", giving general experience of managing in multistructure rural economy, social and economic development of rural territories, it also publishes articles devoted to problems of methodology of agro-economic researches and to other questions of a rural economics situated on macro-and middle levels, and also publishes discussable materials concerning the functioning of agriculture of the Russian Federation. It is addressed to workers in the sphere of governable and an economic board of agrarian and industrial complex, to managers and economists working in agro companies, and also to scientists and the professors of high agrarian universities.

The Russian certification commission included the magazine in "The leading reviewed list of scientific magazines and editions in which the basic scientific results of the dissertation devoted to competition of a scientific degree of the doctor of science should be published".
